
THE IEE
The Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) was founded in 1871 and is now the largest professional engineering society in Europe. It has nearly 140000 members in 140 countries worldwide ranging from students to the most distinguished and highly- qualified members of the profession. Its interests span electrical, electronic, systems, software and manufacturing engineering and science.

- Sets standards of qualifications for the profession.
- Organizes an extensive programme of technical meetings.
-Sets standards for the professional conduct of its members.

- Issues regulations for the safe installations of electrical and electric equipment.
