MEMBERS' SUBSCRIPTION RATES FOR 2000

The fees for IEE depends on the class of membership and the age of the member as follows:

Notes on Reduced Subscriptions:

No subscription is payable by any member with 50 years or more continuous membership.

Certain members may be eligible to pay their subscriptions at a reduced rate.

A -RETIRED MEMBERS Any member who retired in 1999 from the practice of his/ her profession or business and who is no longer in gainful employment or whose earnings are expected to be less than 6700 Pounds from occasional work in 2000, may apply to the Council to reduce the 2000 and future annual subscriptions depending on the length of his/her continuous membership.

The reduced rates are:

A1 -Members with 15 years and less than 25 years continuos membership

50% of normal subscription

A2 -Nembers with 25 years and less than 50 years continuous membership

Associate and Associate Members. (Members who retired prior to 1988 pay no subscription.)

A3 -Members with 25 years and less than 50 years continuous membership whose income from all sources including pension income is less than 5600 Pounds p.a. (or its equivalent in local currency)

B -REDUNDANCY: Members declared compulsorily redundant and who are seeking employment may have their subscriptions waived automatically for one year. Members who are still unemployed after 12 months and who previously claimed this concession should write to the Secretary.

C -LOW INCOME: Members whose income from all sources is less than 6620 Pounds p.a. or its equivalent in local currency may claim a reduction of their subscription of 50 %.

D -STUDENTS: Full time students undertaking IEE accredited courses pay 10.00 Pounds in respect of their membership subscription. Student members and Associates over 21 who are following a full time non accredited courses in order to satisfy the Institution’s examination requirements, may pay also the lowest rate of subscription by completing the declaration printed on the reverse side of the Subscription Notice. Full time Postgraduate students may also claim this concession if their current qualifications do not satisfy the Institution’s educational requirements.

E -CAREER BREAK: Members who take a temporary career break to raise a family may claim the lowest rate of subscription of 10.00 Pounds.

Members who pay less than the normal subscription and who wish to remain on the Engineering Council Register are required to pay a fee as follows; -
